About

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Band 4 Dental Nurses to provide ad hoc support across clinics in Berkshire East and West. This role offers a flexible working arrangement, allowing dental nurses to contribute to high-quality patient care while managing their schedules. It is an excellent opportunity for experienced and newly qualified dental nurses looking for versatile, well-paid shifts within a professional NHS clinical environment.

Job Description

The Band 4 Dental Nurse will play a vital role in supporting dental procedures, ensuring efficient clinic operations, and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment. The role requires clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a patient-focused approach to deliver outstanding dental care. Nurses will have the opportunity to work across multiple clinics, gaining diverse experience in different dental settings.

Key Responsibilities
Assist dentists and other dental professionals during clinical procedures.
Ensure high standards of infection control and maintain a sterile working environment.
Provide chairside support for a range of dental treatments.
Prepare, sterilise, and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
Offer reassurance and support to patients, ensuring a positive clinical experience.
Maintain accurate patient records in line with NHS protocols and policies.
Work flexibly across multiple clinics, adapting to different team environments.

Requirements

Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant clinical experience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Excellent infection control knowledge and adherence to NHS safety standards.
Adaptability and willingness to work in different clinical settings as required.
